London Affairs – Day 02

On our second day, we took a bit of time to roll out of bed. I didn’t get to sleep too well due to the lack of sleep during our flight. However, that didn’t stop me from being excited for what our second day will bring us. The weather so far has been summery and humid. It’s as if we took summer with us when we flew out of the PHL Airport. I was also told it’s very rare that London is sunny and warm during this time of the month. It’s usually rainy and cloudy in August.

We dolled up in our dresses and makeup. Selene did my makeup for me since I actually don’t know how to put makeup on. It was never something that I was encouraged to learn growing up, but recently it is something I’ve been curious to learn. I know some people are surprised when I tell them that I don’t know how to use makeup, but I just shrug it off while they unconsciously judge me. It doesn’t bother me though. It is what it is. Hehe. Anyways . . .

While Selene was doing my eyes, she added wings at the end of my eyelids. She decided to go bold with it. It was really interesting to see the wings at the end of my eyes. It definitely looks cat-like and bold, but very pretty! I was impress! I never thought it be something that could suit my face. I’ve always thought light natural makeup looks better on me. I didn’t think my face could do a heavier look. Pretty cool!

As soon as we were ready to head out, we took a taxi to Covent Garden. Our taxi driver was very friendly. He gave us the low down of where all the tourist spots were, and even went out of his way to give us some details of each as we pass them. He was very friendly. We we reached our destination, the first thing I noticed was how cute the area was with its rows of charming-looking restaurants and boutiques. There were so many people crowding around and enjoying the weather. We decided to grab food at White Lion before we went looking for a place to do our nails and hair.

The White Lion – Nicholson’s pub is located in the heart of Covent Garden, which serves real ales, sprites, and warm whiskies with a measure of the famous British hospitality. The staffs were very friendly and attentive, and the food was simply hearty but delicious. We ordered Fish and Chips, and Frog in a Toad with coffee. When you have good food and coffee to charge, the day has just gotten brighter! We took our time eating, while Selene did some research for Nail and Hair Salon before our shoot. ^_^
