Gingerbread Treasure House

My work company supplied all of their employees with a M&M Gingerbread House Kit for a family fun holiday activity. I thought it was really sweet that they decided to do something nice for all of us, especially during these uncertain times, where most of us are staying away from large social activities and gatherings due to Covid-19.

I was very excited to hear that they mailed out the kit, since this would be my (our) first time building a gingerbread house. This would be a fun experience for Sy and a great way to do something as a family.

We let our son drive the project, and demonstrated what he could do with the icings and candies. We also tried to guide him in putting the house together, but he had his own ideas, so we went with his flow. He had fun squeezing out the icings on the gingerbread and putting the m&m candies together. However, after putting it together, he would later take it apart. In the end, we managed to create Sy’s Gingerbread Treasure House! You open one side of the roof to find a pile of m&m treasure candies! ^____^ Until, he decides to tear down the house, and it becomes a pile of rubbles. Hah!
