Tasty Pot Philly – Soft Opening

A few weeks ago, we saw a sign for Tasty Pot’s soft opening at the Rising Sun Plaza, while we were on our way for some noodles at Nam Vang. Angie checked out the menu online, and it looked very interesting. We decided to come here for my informal birthday.

On our way to the restaurant, my son fell asleep in the car. I had hoped he stayed awake, but it could be a blessing in disguise that he was asleep. A toddler being overly tired can lead to fussiness. An idea came to mind to transport our son int the restaurant.  We detached the car seat and brought it in. It’s a good thing this was a soft opening, so it wasn’t crowded when we got there. Thankfully, the staffs were very accommodating and understanding. It is a little strange to carry a car seat in the restaurant, but you know what…? A parent gotta do what a parent gotta do.

There were several types of soup for their Hot Soup Pot. There’s even a veggie soup pot for those who are vegetarian. We picked a few different ones to try. Some of us ordered a few of their bubble teas! I was super excited to try everything!

• Hokkaido Milk Tea

I enjoyed the Kimchi Dumpling Hot Soup. It was very tasty. I was very surprise that their bubble teas were good. Their bubble teas were tasty and their boba were decent. I will definitely come back again to try their other Soup Pots and more bubble teas!
